Supersize your child

Richard Hayes claims that he does not think that society pays enough attention to genetically modified humans. Parents could artificially give their children certain types of genes to enhance their looks, or athletic abilities, or brains. He never really states that he's pro genetics or against it, but he does list reasons and facts that supports one side or another. The only thing he argues is that society could potentially be able to do this, but they don't pay enough attention to it.
Richard states that a science magazine reported a variant of a human gene that reduces depression, also he also adds that in the university of California that a biochemist used a certain gene that doubled an earth worms life. If such things exist, people would be buying them out of stock before the first day of business is over. Parents want the best for their kids, so the demands for treatments like this would be very high.
I agree with the part where he says that if we use gene's to enhance our kids then in future generation's certain people will gain superiority. An example  is how three hundred years ago political leaders divided people into inferior and Superior types, or masters and slaves. I agree with him that if people do decide to go forth with this idea that some people might gain more power, or maybe even gain so much power that they will forget logic and claim to be Superior. This will also make power easier to get to the general public. Power in the wrong hands can be very dangerous and lead to corrupt systems.
